Working on a children's picture book through each of the stages, takes time. Looking back, I started on the first draft of the text in October 2025. And after a few revisions and almost nightly readings for my daughter did I take the leap and decide to develop it into a picture book. With over 12 full complete pages and another 10 in progress, I'm looking forward to completing the project. Target release date: August 2026 (It's been so much fun that the text for the second book in the series is complete and sketches in progress. 😊) #childrensbookauthor #kidlit #childrensbookstagram #picturebookauthor

Sharing some of the latest pages for the children's book "Rocket the Dog". I printed off the completed images for my personal critic to review. I can confirm that my 3 year old daughter was really excited to see them 😊. After many nights of reading her the text, it felt good to have some of the images ready to go. At least now all her teddies are up to date on the latest with Rocket. 😊 The next 10 pages are in progress and I hope to share some of these on completion. Sneak peek: a finished page from my upcoming children's book. "Rocket the Dog" Rocket is a tiny dog who, when shunned by the larger animals, turns to story books for adventure. He soon finds himself transported to another world where he has an adventure of his own, and proves that no matter who you are or how big you are, everyone has their own qualities to achieve great things. Rocket the Dog is currently a work in progress and expected to be the first in a series of adventures. With a fantastic illustrator creating amazing colourful pages from my initial concept sketches, I look forward to sharing some further sneak peaks as we approach the book release date.
